The XT M8000 rear Hub from Shimano is a high performance rear freehub for rim or disc brakes, the XT series is renowned for offering the best performance to value ratio. This hub has a center lock disc mount for secure braking and hassle free setup, the freehub has super quick engagement with pawl engagement every 10 degrees, giving an almost instant power transfer. The freehub can be used with 8, 9, 10 or 11-speed cassettes. The bearings are double contact sealed with an internal grease sleeve to make sure the dirt and water doesn’t get in, meaning longer lasting bearings that are constantly smooth. The bearings are cup and cone style, for durability, strength and smooth rotation and the cone bearing races have been Borozon treated for precision low-friction rolling capabilities. The axle is an oversized 14mm with a lightweight design for rigidity, with a lightweight lever quick release for easy adjustments. For 135mm dropouts and available in Black only.
